An interactive, high-performance 3D N-body solar system built in Taichi GPU with symplectic double-precision physics, real-time lighting optics, orbital trails, and system telemetry.

What it does
What It Does:
1) O(N^2) Symplectic Physics: A custom Velocity Verlet (Leapfrog) integrator built in double precision (`ti.f64`) to eliminate energy drift and maintain long-term orbital stability. 2)Complex Multi-Body System: Simulates $3,500+ gravitational bodies, including a central star, planets, Jovian moons, an eccentric comet, and an asteroid belt featuring emergent Kirkwood gaps. 3)Procedural GPU Optics: Custom ray-sphere and ray-disk intersect shaders rendering 3D planetary crescents, atmospheric scattering, Saturn-like ring shadows, and solar corona diffraction spikes. 4)Real-Time Telemetry: Continuous live tracking of system kinetic energy, potential energy, and mechanical energy drift.
What I Had to Figure Out
1) Hybrid Precision Pipeline: Bridged `ti.f64` physics with explicit `ti.f32` visual staging buffers to eliminate GPU compiler warnings while maintaining a rock-solid FPS. 2) Stable Sub-Stepping: Engineered time-warp sub-stepping logic that allows scaling simulation speed without risking numerical instability or flinging bodies into deep space.
