What it does
LIBERATION is a real-time, scientifically informed 3D supernova laboratory built in Python/OpenGL. It simulates stellar evolution from accretion and instability through collapse, supernova explosion, ejecta expansion, and remnant formation, with the visuals driven by the underlying modeled physics rather than canned animations.
It supports multiple astrophysical pathways, including Type Ia thermonuclear disruption, core-collapse supernova → neutron star, and collapsar → black hole with jets. The simulation emphasizes realistic spatial depth, volumetric plasma, turbulent/filamentary ejecta, temperature-driven appearance, meaningful gravitational/orbital motion, and a dark astronomical environment.
