What it does
A real-time interactive visualization that demonstrates how a black hole influences its surroundings using physically inspired astrophysical principles. The simulation models an event horizon, an orbiting accretion disk, and gravitational lensing, showing how intense gravity bends light and distorts the appearance of distant stars. Users can interact with the scene by adjusting the camera and simulation parameters to explore different perspectives. The project combines physics, computer graphics, and GPU-accelerated computation in Python using Taichi to create an educational experience that is both scientifically grounded and visually engaging, making complex concepts accessible through immersive visualization.
