Habitable Chaos — A Computational Laboratory for Planetary Stability
sabhineet067
An interactive GPU-accelerated N-body laboratory that explores planetary stability, eccentricity, perturbations, and orbital resonances.

What it does
Habitable Chaos simulates planetary systems using mutual Newtonian gravity and a symplectic Velocity-Verlet integrator. It lets you explore how initial orbital conditions, eccentricity, perturbations, and mean-motion resonances affect planetary dynamics.
The project includes a computational stability map generated from 1,000 N-body configurations, live eccentricity tracking, orbital-element diagnostics, Hill-radius analysis, approximate habitable-zone and stellar-flux calculations, and a 3:1 mean-motion resonance diagnostic.
The interactive laboratory allows users to inject test orbits and apply controlled velocity perturbations while observing the resulting dynamical evolution. The simulation is GPU-accelerated with a CPU fallback and includes Kepler-law, energy-drift, angular-momentum, and resonance validation tests.
