What it does
The project stimulates the gravitational interaction and ultimate merger of two spiral galaxies. It models how hundrerds of thousands of individual stars respond to the shifting of gravitational fields of both galactic cores, visually demonstrationg how structured galactic disks transform into disorted tidal tails, bridge structures, and an eventual elliptical remnant. *N-Body gravitational dynamics: To keep real-time performance smooth, stars interact with the heavy supermassive blackholes rather than individual stars. *Tidal disruption and forces: stars closer to the approaching core experience strong gravitational pull, while stars on the far side experience lesser gravitational pull. Due to this dynamic we see swept-out tidal tails. *Conservation of angular momentum.
