Dance of Titans: A Cinematic Binary Black Hole Merger Simulation
Witness two black holes spiral, merge, and ring down through a cinematic real-time WebGL simulation inspired by modern astrophysics.

What it does
Dance of the Titans is an interactive real-time visualization of a binary black hole merger built with Three.js and WebGL.
The simulation recreates the complete lifecycle of a binary system—from inspiral and orbital decay to merger and ringdown—through physically inspired orbital dynamics, cinematic rendering, GPU-accelerated particle systems, post-processing effects, and immersive telemetry.
Key Features
• Real-time binary black hole simulation • Physically inspired orbital dynamics • Dynamic accretion disks and particle systems • Gravitational-wave inspired telemetry visualization • Cinematic camera mode with automatic tracking • HDR bloom, depth of field, and post-processing • Interactive observatory controls • Educational astrophysics visualization • Responsive WebGL rendering
Technologies Used
• Three.js • WebGL • JavaScript (ES6) • GLSL Shaders • HTML5 • CSS3
Dance of the Titans was created as a scientific visualization project to demonstrate one of the universe's most energetic astrophysical events while combining modern computer graphics, interactive storytelling, and educational exploration.
