What it does

Boomerang–Black Hole Simulation is an interactive, GPU-accelerated astrophysical visualization developed in Python using the Taichi programming framework. The project explores a hypothetical scenario in which a central black hole resides within the Boomerang Nebula, producing an evolving environment shaped by gravity, accretion processes, bipolar relativistic jets, and expanding nebular gas.

Rather than serving as a numerically exact astrophysical solver, the simulation is science-inspired, capturing the essential physical behavior of these phenomena while maintaining the performance required for real-time visualization. The simulation models slowly evolving gas clouds using a particle-based approach, allowing the nebula to dynamically respond to the gravitational influence of the black hole and energetic jet outflows. The resulting interaction produces an immersive three-dimensional environment that emphasizes both scientific intuition and visual fidelity.
